Sofia Kokkino is a filmmaker and storyteller, majoring in Cinema Studies with a minor in Film Production at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is a writer, director, cinematographer, and editor, bringing together technical expertise, analytical insight, and a strong narrative sensibility. This combination allows her to create work that is both emotionally resonant and visually compelling.

Her portfolio spans narrative and documentary projects, emphasizing character-driven storytelling, precise visual composition, and thoughtful editorial design. Skilled across all stages of production, from screenwriting and research to cinematography and editing, Sofia brings a disciplined, collaborative approach and a clear creative vision to every project.

Sofia has also worked as a creative services intern at CBS, where she led the edit on the First Alert Weather summer shoot and helped out at Jets media day, cutting the team's IDs along with promos for air. Working inside a broadcast pipeline sharpened her instincts for pacing, polish, and turning work around so it feels right on screen.

Originally from Oregon, Sofia has been passionate about film from a young age. She is motivated by the power of storytelling to connect audiences, preserve meaningful experiences, and leave a lasting impact, approaching each project with dedication, intention, and excellence.
